Eric Nelson said ” I’m always so impressed and inspired by the ways in which others view museum collections and exhibitions – these photos by Eric Nelson from his visit to The Field Museum capture displayed specimens and artefacts in a whole new light.”
What interests me about Eric Nelsons work is the content of his photographs. They contain the curiosities and remnants of natural history which show both the development and evolution of both humanity and the other species that reside on this earth. Field museums are not just scientific they are also historic. They document the lives that once lived here and give us incite into mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians and fishes we will never see.
